About Safeguarding in Multyfarnham

Here in Multyfarnham, we greatly value the very many people who support our work and especially, the presence of those who visit, whether to attend Mass, avail of the sacrament of reconciliation (confession), to pray, to walk through our beautiful grounds, or for such simple things as to speak with a friar, receive a blessing, or obtain a Mass card.

Whatever your reason for being with us, you are welcome!

We take the matter of the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults very seriously. To that end, all of us in Multy – friars, staff, and volunteers – are fully committed to the safeguarding policies and standards of the Franciscans in Ireland. On behalf of the Franciscans in Multyfarnham, I am happy to assure you that we are fully compliant with all national standards.

Our safeguarding representative for the friary church is Thérèse Bennett, a local resident from Bunbrosna. Thérèse and I are jointly responsible to ensure that we continue to adhere to all standards of good safeguarding practice. We are available at any time if you have any safeguarding concern.

We can be contacted via the friary office (044) 937 1114. Our email addresses are:
